 HOW FREEZE DRYING WORKS： |

Pre-freezing：The sample is pre-frozen to convert water to ice bellow its eutective point. Afterward, the sublimation will proceed.

Condensing：A condensing surface must be provide lower than - 40 °C before the vacuum on.

Primary drying：The ice in the sample is converted directly to vapour without melting in the vacuum environment between 5 and 50 microns of Hg.

Secondary drying： A source of heat to the product, controlled between - 40°C and + 65°C, must be employed to remove the residual moisture bound the solid material.
